Action or Acceptance.

I don’t always have the answers, though sometimes I may feel like I do. I tend to believe things with confidence and speak about them definitively. I hope that doesn’t mislead you dear readers. I am-and most of us are- a being of immense variation. I bend and sway and move with the winds of life. I may believe something today, only to tweak that thought tomorrow.

I have a fear of sticking too intensely to my opinions. Much like a foot held in wet concrete for just a little too long I can’t imagine the result will help me to make progress. I once heard someone say that if your poem needs an introduction than it’s not a very good poem. I do feel the need to lead you into what I’m going to talk about with an attitude of humility and perhaps a bit of self-deprication, good thing this isn’t a poem.

Also, I want you to know that I think you’re quite perfect. Exactly as you are now and yesterday and 10 years from now. You are just right.

Now, let’s chat.

I preferred to spend my time with mostly men and the women that I did allow into my life I often neglected or complimented them on how ‘un-girl’ they were.

The deepest wounds.

I looked back through my deepest wounds this morning,
as I like to do.
What I learned is that the ones that still sting, those were mostly created by other women.

❤ thank you for sharing- you’re so very right!

On Routine and Creation.

It can feel easy to go to work, come home, cook dinner, go to sleep, and repeat.
My variation of that has looked like this:
5:30-6 -> wake up
6-6:30 – > wash face, brush teeth, make silly faces in the mirror
6:30-7 -> breakfast in bed with a book or some informational videos
7-7:30 -> get ready
7:30-8:45 -> write at a coffee shop
9-5 -> work
Post work -> meet a friend for dinner or cook dinner
read a book?
9:00 -> go to bed
